Secondary Hard Drive fails to launch games

I just built a new rig. Specs are i7 4770k, gtx 690, Asus Maximus Hero VI, Samsung 240 SSD, Velociraptor 500GB, and 1300W PS.

I chose my Velociraptor to be designated for games in A:
Operating System C:

When I install games to A, they fail to boot/launch. WHen I install games to C:, I have successful launch. WHY? I Can't keep putting games on my SSD.

Games put on the secondary drive (A: in your case) should launch as long as they were installed to that drive, and launched from that drive.

a: and b: are still designated for floppy drives in bios because of this, they will throw up errors when you try to designate a hdd to them.
lable the drive letter to c: - z:.
also make sure your running your games with elevated privs (right click and run as admin...)
