Question Secondary Internal HDD Suddenly Disconnects then Reconnects.

Hello,

I have 2 HDD both my new one is Toshiba and my OS HDD is 10 years old.
but my problem is that my Toshiba Hard Drive Suddenly Disconnect-Reconnect when Playing Tomb Raider(Steam) and Re-Checking files in torrent(The things that i can reproduce the Issue).

I try with ChkDsk but it disconnects. so no diskchecking is done.

Hi, could you check the drive with the diagnostic software of the manufacturer (if possible)?

Does the drive disconnect frequently or just when it is being used?

Sounds like it may be overheating since it happens under heavy use.
Can you take the cover off the PC case and point a fan towards it and see if thats the problem?
