Secondary proffessions as primary proffessions

Hi,

Has anybody ever thought about converting the 3 secondary proffessions
into primary ones but make them more complex?

I currently see out of all 3 fishing as the lamest.
As far as I am aware oily blackmouth is about the only thing needed out
of fishing, and as everybody can fish there is no point selling it for
loads at the AH.
Forgetting the money side of things its so boring as well.

If fishing was a primary proffession and more in depth it would appeal
more. rather than just click wait click. yawn. repeat.

For example.
If say rather than where you are fishing and your skill level
determining what fish you are going to get, lets make it more detailed
& hopefully more interesting.
So the better the fishing pole / line / flight / baits used would
impact on what fish you get.

Part of the fishing skill would be ability to make all of the above
(more advanced at higher levels). Other Primary skills could also be
included at higher levels. I.e Tailoring could have a new recipe to
convert Mageweave cloth into a component used by high end fishing
flights for example?

You would need to make the fish caught more of a required item
otherwise nobody would do it, but that should not be too difficult.
Make more fish needed by Alchemy for one. Leather Working for example
could require certain types of fish oils to wax onto the leather item
etc. The most easy way to provide a market for the fish is by making
cooking a primary skill, and making fish more in demand for complex
recipies.

This leads very nicely onto cooking which again could be vamped to a
primary easily.
Imagine if you needed certain spices which only herbalists can produce
etc. And blacksmiths could make special cooking knives / pans etc used
for high end recipes. Again a market would be needed, but if the Buff
was better people would buy the food. Although you would want different
sorts of buffs compared to Alchemy to keep them apart.

The only skill I cant think of a way of doing anything with is First
Aid.

Any thoughts anyone?

Fishing has made me lots of gold. Deviate Fish, Stonescale Eels, Golden
Pearls... These things DO sell at the AH, and yes anybody can do it, but I
like to cash in on others laziness.
