Secondary router does not see any of the items connected to the network

Hi!
I am trying to set up TimeMachine on a NAS, but I'm running in some trouble. So to start:
I have a main router that is connected directly to the modem, which has connected over LAN one computer, and a NAS (the router is a TP-LINK Archer C9). Then, using a pretty long LAN cable, it's linked over to a separate router, in my room (same router model). The problem is, if I connect my mac over LAN to the router that gets internet from the main one, it does not see anything connected on local network. Once I connect it directly to the mac, without the router, it does, however, see everything. The thing I am trying to do is make the router see and deliver to the rest of the connected devices to it (over wifi as well), all the devices connected to the main router. I cannot seem to pull it off. Please help.

It is because of your configuration.
A router by design "shields" the devices on its LAN interface(s) from the WAN.
Thus anything plugged into router1 will not be able to see any devices conencted to router2.

If you are using the second router for the ethernet ports then just get an ethernet switch, you can find 8 port gigabit ones for $20
If you are using the second router for the extra wifi coverage then you need to configure it instead to be an access point. A router provides NAT (the shielding), provides IP addresses, and coordinates the routes to your ISPs routers; an access point is just an extension of your router that provides more wifi and ethernet ports and funcitons as 1 large network.

Where is the NAS connected into? If it is not connected to the router, then is may be on a different subnet to the LAN. i.e Is the NAS' IP address in the same range as devices on the LAN?

If not then something may be providing the NAS with a separate IP address via DHCP. You need ensure you only have DHCP assigning from one device. eg. The router.

The NAS is connected to the main router. What I have seen from looking around in the routers setting pages, is that the main router has an IP pool from 192.168.1.100 - 192.168.1.199. The secondary router has it from 192.168.0.1 - 192.168.0.199.
If that is the problem I can't change the 0 to 1, telling me it cannot be the same as the submask

Have you assigned the NAS a fixed IP from the main routers subnet?

Some routers have a physical button or button in configuration to easily set it as an access point.
If not then you need to give router2 a static IP address, dissable DHCP and connect the line from router1 into a LAN port and not the WAN.
You should be able to google your exact model and get more menu specific instructions.
