pls help... which one is better in gaming w/o oc
core i3 2100 or phenom x4 955?

I'd go with the Phenom X4 955. I was looking into that before core i5. Still not sure which.

Either can work but the core i3 is faster. A Phenom / AM3+ motherboard combination is right if you want the future AMD Bulldozer processors. Graphics cards affect speed the most, focus on strong graphics then choose CPU brand.

id go with i3 because it will be the same socket for ivy bridge and even then you could upgrade to s 2500k, 2600k processor in the future
