[SOLVED] Seeing white vertical lines on display

Hi,

I’m having a problem all of a sudden with my display, I believe it’s caused through either my video card or my motherboard.

I’m getting these white vertical lines on my display after I enter the OS from BIOS. I’ve tried uninstalling the video card driver using the video display uninstaller, and I’m not able to install the Nvidia driver afterwards, it goes through the installation process and says it’s complete but when I check device manager, it’s not there, and nvidia GeForce experience says to install again, so something is telling the computer to not install the driver.

I’m stumped, any ideas? really hope it’s not the GPU, I have liquid cooling throughout the CPU and GPU, so removing all the liquid is going to be a pain. I’m thinking of testing out the second PCIe slot to see if that works, if it doesn’t it’s most likely the GPU..

Try another screen first and another HDMI/DP cable second, but yeah, it looks like a dying GPU.

Second screen does same thing... however the lines do go away when I’m on a lower resolution than 1920x1080.

Yup... confirmed it was the video card, tested on another pc and same problem. RMA’ing it.
