Hi all,

Does "ASUS Prime X570-P motherboard" match "AMD Ryzen 9 5900X Processor" ?

PRIME X570-P - Overview

PRIME X570-P - Tech Specs

Can "MSI TWIN FROZR 7 GEFORCE GTX graphic card" be inserted on this motherboard?

Can "Samsung 2TB 980 PRO M.2 2280 MZ-V8P2T0BW PCIe Gen 4.0 x4, NVMe 1.3c SSD" be inserted on this motherboard?

Please advise. Thanks in advance.

Regards

What is the purpose of this PC? GTX cards are a little older and a 5900X is a very powerful processor. If it is gaming you may be better off with a 5800X or even 5600X and spending more on the GPU. Best you could have there is the GTX1660 Super or Ti and that is a previous generation non-RTX card. GTX1000 -> GTX 1600 -> RTX 2000 -> RTX 3000 series.

Yes, X570 is the appropriate chipset for a high end AMD CPU.

In general, yes, you can plug practically any GPU into any motherboard.

Yes, any X570 motherboard is going to have a few M.2 ports for that SSD and operate at PCIe 4.0 speeds.

Thanks for your advice

I already have an AMD Ryzen 5 PC
cat /proc/cpuinfo | grep 'name'| uniq
model name : AMD Ryzen 5 3400G with Radeon Vega Graphics

I expect to build an AMD Ryzen 7 or 9 PC

Use of the new PC
==============

1)
Running Virtualization - Oracle VirtualBox
with Ubuntu 20.04 desktop as host.

2)
36 cloned websites are running on 6 Ubuntu 20.04 VMs. The aforesaid websites are cloned on live websites running on Internet. They are NOT open to public. They serve as backup site and are updated and upgraded periodically. In case having problem on any live site I just replace it with the cloned site. It proves very convenient.

3)
I shall use this new PC for graphic editing, converting hard-copy photos to digital photos scanned on mobile phone. If the hard-copy photo having problem, turning to yellow color, I scan its film negative instead, also on mobile phone. These steps have been proved working without problem ruuning my daily working PC, an AMD 8-core PC.

All good then. CPU is a good workstation processor certainly and the GPU will get you a display output.
Hi,

Thanks for your further advice.

My most concern are;
  1. "MSI TWIN FROZR 7 GEFORCE GTX graphic card" can be installed and work on ASUS PRIME X570-P motherboard
  2. "Samsung 2TB 980 PRO M.2 2280 MZ-V8P2T0BW PCIe Gen 4.0 x4, NVMe 1.3c SSD" can be installed and work on ASUS PRIME X570-P motherboard

"MSI TWIN FROZR 7 GEFORCE GTX graphic card"
is a brand-new card purchased a few months before

Because once purchased I can't change them with the retainer.
