Question Seeking advice on what GPU to pick

I'm building my first computer, and am not sure what GPU to buy.

I'm going to have a 9600k, with 32GB ddr4 3000. I'm got a Thermaltake 850w 80+ gold psu, and will be using a 34" 3440x1440 100hz display.

I'll be playing games like Assassins Creed Odyssey, Witcher 3, The Division 2, Tomb Raider.

I'm not sure if I should get the 2070, 2080, 2080 ti, or one of the new AMD cards. I've got the money saved where I could get one of the less expensive 2080tis, but don't want to spend $1100 unless I have to. I'm OK lowering settings to keep frame rates up. Even at medium, a 1440p looks better than a 1080p on high (at least to me it does).

Any help that anyone can give me would be great.

Thanks

I think any of recent RT X SUPER GPUs might be an ideal solution for that PC. I won't recommend buying the RTX Ti variant though, since it's overpriced, at least IMO, but it's going to be slightly more future-proof.

The RTX 2080 SUPER might also come out soon though. Either wait for that, or grab the recently released RTX 2070 SUPER GPU instead. When it comes to AMD's new NAVI GPUs, it would be much better if you can wait for more CUSTOM AIB models to hit the market.

I've got a 1060 6gb that a friend gave me that I can use for a while. I looked for the supers, but everyone is out of stock, or if they have one, they are ridiculous (amazon has a 2060 super for almost $1000)

The 2080 super is supposed to be out soon, isn't it?

If you want to play these at 100hz maybe try up 5700xt because then you can play @ 3440x1440p on almost every game at 100+fps due to radeon image sharpening and gpu scaling the tests prove its better than dlss and you have to be pixel picking to notice the difference between native 4k and upscaled using RIS while having high frame rates and sure its not implemented to dx 11 yet but its coming soon
