I am looking to upgrade to a brand new PC for Video Editing and HD Game Recording (with audio commentary from microphone), and I would like to receive some advice.

The specs I am looking at are as follows:

    CPU: Intel i7 5820k
    GPU: NVIDIA GTX 980
    SSD: 500GB
    HDD: 3TB
    RAM: 32GB (High Speed)

What would you change about this build? Are there any specific parts/versions/brands that you would recommend?

I would also like to know:

Is it worth including a Sound Card, or will it make no difference? (I usually edit videos with 3-6 audio tracks.)
What should I look for in a Motherboard?

Thank you for your time. :)

What's your budget? With a currency plz
Don't get the 980, its not worth it, get either the 970, two 970's or a 980Ti
Your probably won't need 6 cores or 32GB of RAM, get 16GB. Get the 6700K and a good cooler so that you can overclock.
Dont bother with sound card, get a good mobo (ASUS, EVGA, high end gigabyte, MSI) and it will have onboard audio, if its a good mobo it will have good audio.
SSD and HDD are fine, I'd recommend Samsung or Intel SSD's, and WD or Seagate HDD's
I'd recommend ASUS and EVGA the most for mobos, but high end MSI and Gigabytes are good too
Corsair or kingston or g.skill for the RAM
Corsair or EVGA for the PSU
ASUS, EVGA, Gigabyte or MSI for GPU, I like the ASUS software more than the others so ASUS would be my personal preference if money wasn't an object.

What motherboards in particular would you recommend (i.e. specific models)?

My currency is New Zealand Dollars. As for a budget, it is fairly flexible, but I would be looking to spend about NZ$3,000 (US$2,000).
