Hi everyone, I'm new here (first post). I was looking around the web to find help with the problem I am having with my pc, and this forum seemed like my best bet. Sorry if this is in the wrong place but I am not really sure exactly what my problem is as such. Although to fully explain I will have to give you some history first.
To start my pc is home built by myself (first time) it contains;
Windows 7 ultimate 64bit
G-Skill 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600Mhz RipjawsX Memory Kit CL9 (9-9-9-24) 1.5V
AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Socket AM3 3.2 GHz 6MB L3 Cache
Biostar TA770XE3 Socket AM3 6 Channel Audio ATX Motherboard
RadeonHD 4890 1 GB DDR5 Graphic Card
Hitachi Deskstar 1TB Hard Drive SATAII 7200rpm 32MB Cache
It's the best I could afford on my budget as I am disabled. Anyway to start with I had all this running with a atrix 650t psu. I also had the automate overclock set on my mobo. Things went great for awhile but my ram started breaking one after another then the psu blew. I replaced the cheap stock ram with the ones listed above. Also bought a very cheap psu as I need access to my pc.
So once I replaced all parts I also formatted the hdd and reinstalled windows, this is where most of my problems began. Got everything set up the way I like it all drivers up to date ect. Then I started getting a kdbsync.exe has stopped working message at start-up. Then all graphics options disappeared from amd's ccc only leaving cpu ones.
I searched around there was different solutions all over the web so just decided to wipe the drivers and start again. I turned off mse and uninstalled all amd drivers/software from my computer then used drivercleaner to clean up. Reinstalled drivers (12.6 4xxx series dosent have 12.8 support) and now amd's ccc cant even be opened ( I just get windows loading symbbol then nothing) and I still get kdbsync.exe has stoped working at startup.
Ontop of all this my fps in all games is staggering around like mad and freezes for a second then speeds up like it has hit a speed bump.
Also I think my psu may be causing some of the fps problems as the games I am playing are cpu bottlenecked because even if I adjust my clock speed from 200mhz to 210mhz or automate like I used to I just get warning incorrect overclock message at startup. I think maybe my psu is not supplying enough power.
Sorry for rambling all over the place but im at my wits end with this any help would be much appreciated.
Thank you Daniel.
