Hey guys, I am looking to replace my stock cooler for my i7 4790k with a cryorig H7. I was wondering A ) will it fit in an apevia X-trooper mid case, and B) I average 75c in most games (dragon age inquisition, witcher 3, and low 80's (bf4, bf1) atm with stock (bad i know). What kind of temperature can I expect from the h7?

If not, what would work good? Can provide specs on request. Open to watercooling etc, budget is around 120$ CAD.

Yeah or if you want to spend a little money you could go for an AIO (All-in-one liquid cooler), I know people generally go against them but, buying mine was the best decision i made because its inaudible and my cpu temp never goes over 55 degrees even with a 700MHz overclock, but also you should get the same results with the hyper 212 evo. Plus that is cheaper. Now... whether or not it fits you could try pcpartpicker, it usually pick up on those kinds of things or buy it and try it, and if it doesn't fit just send it in for a refund.

I have the 4790 (non-K version) and can admit that the Hyper 212 evo is a very good cooler, it's very cheap and is the best in the market.

Here are some good coolers for the 4790:

Hyper 212 EVO: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Cooler-Master-Heatpipes-Connector-RR-212E-16PK-R1/dp/B0068OI7T8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1505859314&sr=8-1&keywords=Hyper+212+EVO

Noctua NH-D15: https://www.amazon.co.uk/noctua-NH-D15-Noctua/dp/B00L7UZMAK/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1505859326&sr=1-1-fkmr0&keywords=Noctua+DH12

Corsair H55: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-Performance-Liquid-Cooler-Radiator/dp/B009VV56TY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1505859369&sr=8-1&keywords=H55

Overall though, I'd go with the Hyper 212 EVO because it's the best in my opinion, and will decrease your gaming temps massively, just make sure to clean your computer (aka remove ALL the dust etc) and then fit the cooler in with a Arctic Silver 5 or the default hyper 212 evo thermal paste, hope that helps.

The reason I linked those 3 CPU's its because they're the best in the market atm imo, and they do better than the cryorig H7 in the long-term so, yeah.
