I want to upgrade an Acer Veriton M4618G to play Apex Legends @1080p 60 fps for under $125.

Current System Specs:

CPU: i5-2400 @ 3.1 Ghz (I don't want to overclock because I don't know if I can, I don't know how, and I don't want to buy a new cooler).
Mobo: Q65H2-AM V1.1
RAM: 4 x 2GB DDR3-1333
Storage: 7.2K rpm SATA 3.5" HDD
Graphics: Integrated Intel HD
PSU: FSP300-60EP 300W ATX
Case Fans: 1 x 92mm

Here are some used/guaranteed parts I've found:

GPUs:

GTX 1050 Ti 4GB (MSI) - $100
RX 570 4GB (MSI) - $90
RX 470 Nitro+ 8GB (Sapphire) - $85
R9 380 4GB (XFX, MSI, or Sapphire) - $80
R9 380X 4GB (XFX) - $80

PSUs:

Antec EarthWatts EA-650 (650W 80 Plus ATX) - $28
Antec EarthWatts EA-500D (500W Bronze 80 Plus ATX) - $25
Seasonic SS400-ES (400W Bronze 80 Plus ATX) - $22

What upgrades will give me the most bang for my buck? Other hardware suggestions welcome.

I'm not sue how to measure the case for GPU fit. The distance from the inside of the expansion slots to hard drive bays is about 260 mm. Does the card length have to be less than that?

I would go ahead and use the 300w fsp psu along with a GTX1050ti
That does not need an aux pcie power cable.

The RX and R9 cards are much hotter units that need aux power.
add in any of the psu options for the amd cards.

Any of the cards would fit.
Considering the minimal airflow evident in your case, I would use the cooler running GTX1050ti.

And... see if you can't manage to install a front intake fan for better cooling.

Thank you, geofelt for your input. I went ahead and bought a Gigabyte 1050 Ti Windforce OC 4G because it was a good deal on eBay.

Now, do I buy a 4-pin to 6-pin adapter or a different PSU?
