Question Seeking Macro Software Recomendations

I am currently searching for acquire Macro Soft Ware compatible with Windows 11. The macro app must be able to function in the W11 File Explorer. It's primary purpose is to perform task in the (Name and Title) categories. I need macro software that can be used to sequentially and repetively edit the categories of a group of files in a folder. When search the web for Macro apps I have been unable to identify which apps that can perform this kind of task. Their descriptions don't seem to be very detailed. I am hoping that users of this forum can suggest a brand of software capable of this task. Tnx for any help you can provide.

Why not use Powershell for this? It's already present on your system.

My added suggestion is to provide some examples of what you are working with and explain more about the end objective.

Many files don't have "category" as metadata. What category is ReadMe.txt, and what category is MyResumee.txt?

It is not clear to me what OP want to gain on this.

For pictures, there are existing software that can tag/categorize each files. This will usually be done by maintaining some database controlled by the app. XnView is one example.

Also, I wonder if OP are actually looking for "macro software" like in general terms. If that is the case, then I'd suggest Autohotkey that I have use myself for various purposes.
