A while back I bought a HP Compaq 6300 Pro SFF i5 3470 & now I want to put the parts inside a new computer case I purchased excluding the heatsink & PSU.I will be updating the PSU & heatsink. Also, I was recently told after the computer case purchase that the form factor is BTX for the motherboard from a discord I join but the seller told me it was small (small ATX). Can anyone please shed some light on the subject & an economical solution for the worse case scenario?

Computer I boughthttps://www.ebay.com/itm/HP-COMPAQ-...m43663.l10137&nordt=true&rt=nc&orig_cvip=true or http://www.ebay.com/itm/381741660452
Case I bought: https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16811353150?Item=N82E16811353150

Anyone with useful information to
SFF - Small Form Factor Motherboard is a special design that HP uses. It does not fit retail bare PC cases. It fits the case it came in.

You can get a retail boxed motherboard on eBay used - LGA 1155. I would avoid oem models such as DELL, HP.
ASUS P8B75-M/CSM LGA 1155 B75

The CPU is just an i5 3470 & for that price of board I rather get a z68 but thanks though.

After looking at it more closely, I'd say the mounting holes look like they're in a standard mounting pattern, but I can't say for sure.

And it appears that the Acer desktop (Veriton VX6620G) that used that motherboard was available in a version that came with an i5 3470, which means there's a good chance it'll work.

There's no guarantee, but I'm revising my previous statement and saying there's a good chance that it'll be compatible with your i5 3470 and a standard PC case.

Thanks, I figure if it doesn't work it's defective/DOA or needs a bios update.
