Seeking Relatively Portable Gaming Laptop $3k budget

I currently have an Alienware M14X R1 with GT 555m. I have a very beefy desktop so I do not need a replacement but travel on occasion and would like something capable of playing of games released soon with fairly high settings (Dragon Age Inquisition, Witcher 3, future titles etc...)

I need a laptop that can be realistically used on the go and would prefer 17" monitor but could go down to 15" and usually keep my budget below $3,000.

I have been hovering in the thin and light laptop range and found The MSI GS 70 Stealth Pro, GS 60 Ghost Pro, and the Aorus X7-V2. I heard about the origin EVO 15 but haven't found any reviews or benchmarks

Will a single 870M be able to play titles released in 2015 on high settings north of 40fps? If not would the 860m SLI be a good compromise? Or should I go with a bulkier 880m Laptop?

From what I have read the GS70 and GS60 suffer from heat issues which might affect longevity, the X7-v2 suffers from mediocre screen and overall build quality. I have heard nothing about the Evo 15.

Waiting is also on the table if a better solution is on the horizon.

Thank you in advance for your input.

That is a mighty fine laptop but definitely on the bulky side. Does your suggestion mean that neither the 870M nor the 860 SLI will be capable of achieving 40fps on newer titles on ~high settings not ultra?

I'm not sure of that, I am pretty sure the 880m can handle it. I didn't think the 750jz was that bulky, must've been wrong

The Blade Pro is a solid competitor with the MSI Models I am having a very difficult time finding benchmarks for it, is it new? Im looking to compare temperatures, Game FPS etc...

As a current owner of a M14X R1, this laptop has served me well for the three years I've had it, it still runs very well, but the number of times I had to disassemble it to either repaste it or clean it is just too much, this laptop has some serious heat problems, so I understand why you're looking for a laptop that runs cooler.

Coming back to the topic, the Razer Blade 14 seems like a great option for you: http://www.engadget.com/2014/05/06/razer-blade-14-review-2014/

I read both reviews and its a solid laptop but the 3k displays are in my opinion not worth it at the moment because no laptop can play a game using that resolution at any decent setting or any decent FPS that is. Secondly as stated above i'm trying to upgrade in screen size to 15-17" But I will keep it and its bigger brother in mind.
