Recently, my games have started running at a max of 79 fps, even though it should have way more than that. Im pretty sure i have all the new drivers for my hardware, and nothing is overheating.

My PC specs are:
Motherboard: MSI Z370 PRO CARBON
Cpu: Intel i5-8600k 3.6ghz
Gpu: Asus strix gtx 980 ti
Memory: 16gb DDR4
Not sure what my psu is, but its at least 750W, and it think its from evga

Does anyone have any idea why my games are running slower?

Solution
I don't know then.

Perhaps check Windows power settings like earlier mentioned.

Aside from all this, download DDU and then reboot into safe mode and use it to remove drivers for GPU and then do a clean install of them

What games, what resolution, what refresh rate, Vsync off in Nvidia control panel? Drivers up to date for gpu?
Tried setting windows power setting to high performance? What type of hd? Is it almost full?
Rocket league, CS:GO and deep rock galactic, the resolution for all games is 1920x1080, VSync off. Drivers should be up to date, cause i have done the "search for drivers" thing and also my gpu software says that the most recent drivers are installed. The refresh rate of my monitor is 60hz.
