I would like to personally thank Ben Meyer and Rob Wright for what has been, in my opinion, the best "Second Take" episode by far. The whole thing had me laughing, and was also very informative, as I'm not one to sit with bated breath as E3 covers games that will come out. Also, it was about 15 minutes long; when your whole week is spent solely on anticipating the next webisode on one of your favorite websites, isn't it disappointing when it's short-lived???

Anyway, keep up the good work! And my only complaint is that you said Travis Barker is a good drummer, which I highly disagree with. But that's for another place, I suppose. :)

I thought the only thing they needed was a Best Company and Best Game award, but otherwise I agree with you. Maybe a Most Innovative Game award too.

We stayed away from doing too many "serious" awards because we were trying to poke fun at E3 awards, which are hype-driven prizes that don't usually mean squat (remember how much praise Kane & Lynch got at E3? Then what happened?).

Personally, I'd say Dead Space was the best demo (not game, demo -- there were no full games at the event) with Left 4 Dead a close second. Best company would probably go to...Microsoft, even though they totally blew off PC gaming. The fact that they stole FFXIII and had by far the best games lineup for the rest of the year gives them the title.

Innovative....hmmmm. Tough call. Not sure anything was really, truly innovative. I like Tom Clancy's EndWar and the voice commands, and I also like BioWare's DragonAge and the new combat syste, but are those features really innovative? Is adding 4-player or 8-player co-op to everyh shooter really innovative? I don't think so....

Innovative, no, but highly in demand.

Sven co-op for half life got coop started again, gears of war brought it to the mainstream and showed everyone there is a sure market for coop in shooters.

I'm one of those people that prefers coop to head-to-head competition as far as online pc-gaming goes. Less drama and cheating in coop games; you get a good, clean, fun play experience with your friends instead of a shout-fest with kiddies.

Aside from which, i'm getting older; I can't keep up with 14 year old turbo gamerkids who play 12 hours a day all summer :p

For a few seconds there I couldn't figure out how the award for best death scene didn't go to any of those highly anticipated games. But when you awarded the E3 floor, I was dying with laughter! :na: Great episode guys! It is very refreshing to get some good sarcasm to break up the overly serious and usually unwarranted hype.

It was better than gametrailer's awards, sheesh, killzone 2 best gfx, I don't need to say more (and they had worst looking games, wtf was street fighter doing there?).

It was a great ST episode for sure. And I look forward to more co-op. Especially a Crysis coop mod, never tried Far Cry coop though. I don't think anyones got the AI to work in multiplayer for Crysis.

Ha-ha, that's funny. You had me going with Killzone 2 getting the best graphics award. Good one, Stemnin.

That was a joke...wasn't it?
