Select new hard drive for best performance

Hello, which is better for win 7 install as main drive WD caviar 500gb blue 16mb cache or caviar green 750gb with 64 cache. In other words which matters most cache or rpm for daily use

caviar blue would be better as the green one has 5400 rpm spindle. so the blue one should be faster.

that said, the speed increase wont be very noticeable.

The Blue will be faster. Their Black series is the fastest (although it is also a little noisier). It is comparable to the Samsung Spinpoint F3 and Seagate 7200.12. Most people seem to favor one of those last two for speed.

Thanks for your quick response, your answers mean that speed is more important than cache, i am confused because the prices of the two drives are almost the same and taking a decision is not that easy
