A year ago i build my own computer. At the time i did not know anything of computers at all but since i had a friend who also build a computer i managed to put it togheter. I spend about a thousand euro's on my pc but it doesnt run as well as it should.
Here are my specs:
Ghrapiccard: MSi GeForce GTX 970 gaming 4GB
Processor: Intel(r) Core(TM) i5-4460 CPU @3,20 GHz
Ram: G.Skill Ares F3-2400C11D-16GAB (but i dont know for sure maybe it was one with 0,3 mhz less)
Motherboard: asus B85M-G
SSD: Crucial BX100 250GB
adapter thing: Cooler Master GM G750M
screen: acer lCD MONITOR G226HQL

I use windows 10 and saw a video where someone said to uncheck a lot of things to make your pc perform better. I did but it still does not run well. My driver is updated so the problem does not lie there. I have around 50 gb left on my ssd.

Thank you in advance,
Rinke

The air coming out of the PC cold is actually not a good sign. If the computer is under load you should expect the cooling system to be taking heat out of the PC. I meant to monitor the temperatures via software so that you have some actual data to look at. If the CPU is hitting 90C because the heatsink has come loose, well, that would make it hard to run games.

Same with the GPU, if it is overheating then it won't properly run anything.

Having an anti-virus program means literally nothing. If your computer was infected, then that was a threat that program didn't know about and couldn't prevent. Many viruses and malwares first actions is to make your AV program inert or hide themselves from it.

When you think you have a problem, run...
Latest drivers aren't always the best drivers. But I agree that you need to provide some level of performance that it isn't doing that it used to. Or if something new isn't running as you expected.

I5-4460 with a GTX970 should be capable of running all modern titles. Not necessarily at the highest settings though and some games would be limited in maximum FPS by the CPU, but only a very few of the latest games.

I have no clue where i can see my FPS in most games so i dont know, but i do know that i can only run watch dogs on the lowest quality. Would you know a reason for this?

I agree, if the problem is only with a single application, re-install it.

Check the Nvidia control panel for any game specific settings that may be on. Try running the game in full-screen windowed mode rather than full screen (I've been finding more and more games where that is a problem)

I have the same problem with for example rocket league and overwatch but i wonderd if it was my internet but since watchdogs can be played offline i think something is wrong with my pc

Monitor your temperatures. Check the event logs for any repeated failures. If the CPU is having millions of fetch errors during operation, that could really slow things down.

Anti-virus and Anti-Malware scans. Might have a mining bot or something taking all your resources. Maybe an OS re-install if all else fails.

If you aren't getting any specific error messages it makes things a bit more difficult.

I am very busy today so i might not be able to do it now but thank you for you answer

my event logs
event log administration: 6170
event log application: 14259 99% information
event log security: 30539 controlled succesfull
event log setup: 88 information
event system: a lot of warnings with DNS client Events id=1014 , around a 100-200 errors on browser id=8016
a few 1000 error ons DistributedCOM id=10016
the rest is information.
total = 31.742

the air coming out of my pc seems cool and i use bullguard and it doesnt detect virussus or anything like that

When you think you have a problem, run additional tools. Anti-Malware Bytes is good for common malware. ComboFix from bleepingcomputer.com is another good way to get rid of stubborn malware. Getting a bitdefender rescue CD can be good for an independent scan of a computer (without having to uninstall your other AV) There are others, just not sure I trust them anymore.

Best protection from malware and viruses is not to venture into parts of the internet that aren't run by major companies. Not caring if your customers are getting infections from malicious advertisements, or purposefully infecting them, is a sad part of our world.

Not really sure how that log is summarized. But it doesn't look like anything jumped out at you. Most seem like common warnings that float around Windows. Distributed COM is a little out of place, that could be a bot trying to call home and failing, might also be internal communications having issues.

Thank you very much for your reply, i will be very busy the coming days so i can not check what is wrong. When this week finishes i will post about my findings.

My cpu temperatures are around 100 degrees wich probably is the problem
