Self built computer

Hey guys not sure if this is the right place for this but need help!!
My boyfriend built me a computer and it randomly stopped working. He fixed it and it worked for a couple hours I shut it off and now it won’t work. I can’t get a hold of him now and I’m tired of dealing with this. I don’t know anything about fixing computers but here is what I’m experiencing. The computer has a red light inside but it just won’t power. My boyfriend fixed it by touching the power cord inside the computer and he said for some reason it’s sensitive and to just press it in when it stops working. Well I did all that and it still isn’t working please help!!

2| What power cord are you talking about here? Is it possible to take picture of your system and the culprit you speak of?
