self built pc is not lighting up when i plug it in

hey guys i built my pc just now but when i plugged in the power supply only 2 small lights on my graphics card lite up nothing else did. the computer wont turn on either when i click the on button nothing happens plz help.

Check nothing's touching the case and shorting.
Check CPU's seated correctly.

Then connect only the motherboard to the psu and see if it goes beep.
If it does, add components one at a time until you find the culprit.

ok so i took out all the componants and only plugged in the motherboard to the psu but there was no beep i think its either the wire or the motherr baord im not sure
