personally I think it would be a sideways move with little noticeable improvement, unless you have specific workloads.
If youre main work is editing videos or multicore intensive work, then you can think about it..For gaming it wont be worth that much..
Then according to my knowledge,it wont be worth upgrading. Since youll also have to buy a new motherboard as the boards for amd and intel are different.Video editing is more a small time job I've have. Nothing serious.
As others already said, sidegrade (and huge inconvenience) at best.
Changing platforms for a +/-10% difference doesn't make any sense to most people unless income is closely related to processing power.
