[SOLVED] Sell Acer Predator X34 Ultrawide Monitor and buy the Acer Predator X27 4K HDR Monitor? please help!

Hi there, I'm thinking to sell my acer predator x34 ultrawide monitor and buy the acer predator x27 4K HDR monitor. I stream a lot of games and for this reason I can not play in the 21:9 ratio and stream in ultrawide as most if not all streaming video platforms do NOT support the 21:9 ratio. And I just want to enjoy playing a game without having to play in 2560x1440 in 16:9 and stream in that resolution with black borders on my monitor. Also because I think 4K HDR is better than the ultrawide experience for gaming/movies. I would like help with this decision and any advice is much appreciated!

It would depend on the games you are streaming. Not all games will support SLI and a single 980ti doesn't have enough horsepower to game at 4K.

Why not a 2560x1440p? It's not like you're gonna be streaming in 4k? And as stated above not all games scale with SLI and if they don't that 980ti ain't gonna cut it.

So from the replies above you guys are saying I would need a new gpu as well as the 4K monitor if I want to game in 4K at 60fps+ ? And what gpu is best if I sold both of my cards as well?

Also replying to @drivinfast247 - Because I want to game in 4K and HDR but stream in 1080p. Best of both worlds, viewers are happy and I can play in 4K with HDR.

Minimum for 4K would be GTX 1080ti, if not a 2080.

I was thinking of buying a single GTX 2080 TI and stop going the SLI multi card route as well as getting the 4K monitor. Would this be enough for 4K 60fps or even 100fps gaming? the price for these 2 items is a bit absurd but I don't mind doing it if this investment will enable me to be future proof at least for 4-5 years before considering another upgrade again. Adding to this would I need to upgrade my cpu, motherboard, ram or other parts? I know that will cost more but getting advice on this would be tremendous! thank you! my setup is in my sig below.

As your resolution goes up(I.E. 4K monitor), the emphasis shifts from CPU to GPU. The higher the resolution, the more graphics horsepower that is required to give a specific FPS
