Some time ago I built myself a custom PC. And for this PC I bought Windows 7 and installed it. A year later I freely upgraded it to Windows 10.

Fast forward to present day and I am considering selling this PC and making a new one. I already have used the digital licence to connect my product key to my Microsoft account. Can I sell the PC with the original install disc, built a new one, install Windows 10 with the media creation tool, and log in to a Microsoft account to activate Windows? Or must I buy an entirely new licence?

Those shady sites are just that...shady.
If it is significant;y below the Microsoft price, it ain't legit.

The OEMness of your current Win 10 license is of no consequence. You now have a 'digital entitlement'. And can move that to new hardware that you own.
Read and do this:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/20530/windows-10-reactivating-after-hardware-change
http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-3164428/windows-build-1607-activation.html

Then, activate that digital entitlement on your hardware.

For the system you're selling...buy a valid, legal OS direct from MS. Install it.
Give the new owner ALL the paperwork...license key, COA, install media (DVD or USB) etc. This is a great selling point.

For the system you're selling, you need to do a full wipe and reinstall. And leave it Unactivated.
The new owner will have to work out his own OS license.

Oh hello again! Hmm... looks like I need to get myself a new licence as a PC without an OS is always a tough sell. I have found many websites that claim to have discounted full retail product keys. They seem suspicious.

Here's one selling for $60 https://www.ebuycommerce.com/product/microsoft-windows-10-professional-full-retail-version:

And another for $45:

Are these full retail keys, or OEMs that don't allow you to move the licence? Are they even genuine? Or should I just shell out the extra cash for the download direct from Microsoft?

P.S. I just realized that the copy of Windows I have is actually an OEM Sytem Builder Copy. This is fine if I want to sell the PC with the licence, but If I choose to keep the licence, will this make it impossible to move it to a new motherboard, even after I register it as a Digital Licence with my Microsoft account?
