Hello guys.
So,right now I have a Radeon HD 6850 and I am really sick of it.
It is a decent GPU,costed me around 120 euros, here in Spain,7 months ago.
I´ve been trying to sell the GPU lately and now I found a buyer that wants it for the price of 100 E.
If I sell my 6850,I plan to replace it with a GTX 570 that costs 159 E brand new, here.
The only problem I have is that too many doubts hunt my mind over this....
For example:
WTF is this GTX 570? http://fotos.pccomponentes.com/tarjetas_graficas/tarjetas_graficas_nvidia_pci_express/zotac_geforce_gtx_570_1280mb__gddr5.jpg
http://imagenes.pccomponentes.com/zotac_geforce_gtx_570_1280mb__gddr5_2.jpg
http://imagenes.pccomponentes.com/zotac_geforce_gtx_570_1280mb__gddr5_5.jpg

I´ve never seen this GTX 570 before. It´s a shorter PCB version by Zotac, therefore I ask you, will this run better than my 6850 AND IS this the same GTX 570 as default/stock? Or is it a worst version of the GTX 570,underclocked for example?

What can I expect from this GTX 570(particulary this one here, shorter PCB version by Zotac) as performance gain over my old RADEON HD 6850?

I don´t know...I know that a GTX 570 blasts the hell out of my 6850,yet....this one here looks funny, shorter PCB makes me think is an underclocked version or something like that.
These are the specs of this short GTX 570:

What do you guys make of this?
Should I go for it?

Should I sell my 6850 and get this GTX 570?
PS:This,GTX 570,has 3800Mhz Memory clock while my 6850 has 4000Mhz.

Ideas/Opinions,PLEASE!

How is the 7850 stronger than the GTX 570?
I´ve seen many reviews and comparisons about the 7850 and the GTX 570,and the GTX 570 always wins(compared to the 7850).

You recommend a 7850,overall?

Well, the real problem here is that not only I´m on a tight budget, but I also lack the money for higher versions of the GTX 570 or any other GPUs.
I thought that a GTX 570 for 159 € is a really good deal,as I can spend 150 € on a GPU (100 € from selling my 6850 and another 50 € I have saved),no more.

The problem is,as i said before, that this GTX 570 particulary looks funny and remains unknown to me so far.
Never saw it before.I was hoping someone whould know something about this version and tell me if this runs as good as the NVIDIA stock version or is an underclocked version.

My specs can be found in the signature.
Thanks for your time.

Around where I live Zotac is almost unknown so I have never owned or even seen a Zotac GPU therefore I couldn't tell you if they're trustworthy. If I was you I'd save €60 and buy a legit
MSI: http://www.amazon.es/Msi-Twinfrozr-N660-2GD5-Oc/dp/B0099AOAP8/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1355941079&sr=8-2
or
Asus: http://www.amazon.es/Asus-GTX660-DC2O-2GD5-Tarjeta-gr%C3%A1fica-GeForce/dp/B0098VKIRC/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1355941079&sr=8-3
GTX660 (non-Ti) which are very likely going to be better than that 660 Ti you got there. It's too cheap to be good quality in my opinion.

The price is right that is for sure and zotac as a brand is fine and it seems they do offer support directly in the USA(can not confirm this)

Hello masakruwolverine,

Just out of curiosity what's wrong with your 6850? In the same sentence you say I'm sick of it and this is a decent GPU. Isn't that a little contradictory? How can it be "decent" and "sickening" at the same time?

Other than that, the 570 is a good card which performs significantly better than a 6850 so it should be worth the upgrade if the 6850 was too limited for your needs. Other cards that perform close to the 570 are the 660 or the 7870. You can also check Tom's Hardware Graphics Cards Hierarchy Chart it might give you other options too:

I managed to sell my 6870 for £80 and buy a frozr III gtx570 for £80 as well. The difference was very noticeable, it meant higher settings/framerates at 1080p. 570 is great for 1080p and if it has a good cooler/custom design, it ocs well aswell.

Haha, you are right. That sounds contradictory unless I explain myself better.
By ´´sick of it´´ and ´´decent´´,I mean that is a pretty fair card and can´t complain about it but for 50 € more I get twice the FPS,nowadays :)
That´s why it´s ´´decent´´ and I am ´´sick of it´´.
Because,to me,performs well, but not enough for my needs.
That´s what I meant.
Anyways,we´re not here to have a look at my vocabulary.

Please, what can you tell me about this version of the GTX 570?The short PCB one?
I can´t find info anywhere,on this.

I was thinking about it,but although my motherboard has 2 PCI-E x16,(Asus p7p55 LX) one of them is running at X16 and the other one is running at X4 and when I asked about this a few months ago,no one recommended to Crossfire on X4 slot,as the performance gain will not be much and it is a really bad idea.

I recommend it if it is around the same price. Here is the thing:

-The 570 is strong but doesn't have enough Vram to last much longer with decent settings.
-Most games I play in 1080p use ~1.5GB of Vram (Now). In a year, who knows.
-The 7850 and 660 use half the power, have 2GB of vram, and are roughly the same as a 570.
-An overclocked 7850 will beat an overclocked 570.

In terms of strength it goes: 7870>660>7850. The 7850 is known to overclock to about what 660 overclock is at. The 7870 is about 5% stronger and when they are both overclocked is 10-15% stronger. FYI the 660Ti is a waste since it can't really get much performance from overclocking due to the 192-bit bus constantly holding it back.

I´d like to thank you all who commented and helped me out.
But I still can´t believe it that no one knows anything about this shorten PCB version of GTX 570?
Please,I need someone that at least has seen/hold one,if not owned/reviewed one.
Thanks again for all the advices on other GPUs but due to the lack of money
(add that I use single monitor at no more than FULL HD,1,2GB of VRAM-No problem),for now I am only interested in this GTX 570.
I only hope someone who really touched one of these ZOTAC GTX 570 SHORT PCB VERSION help me decide whether 159 € is a fair price for this GPU.

Once again, thank you all for the kind comparisons and advices about other GPU brands/models.
