I'm upgrading my GPU and was thinking about selling my NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 TI on Craig's List. I was wondering if it's worth anything or what would be a good asking price.

I'm getting the 9070 XT so I think it will be a worthwhile upgrade.

Thanks.

I would advise going through Ebay and other marketplace listings to get an idea of what your particular GPU might be worth. On a side note, you could try and give the GPU a proper cleaning and in the process reapply the thermal paste on the GPU before you list it up for selling.

Ofc, you could pass on images of the GPU to us here to help in your GPU appraisal.

I will save this thread and upload pictures later. I haven't got my new GPU yet, so this one is still in my computer.

Do you think this 9070 XT will be a good upgrade? I'm trying to get some more FPS/quality on games. Snowrunner drops to 40 FPS a lot and so does Oblivion Remaster. I also have issues with RoadCraft unless I run on medium settings. I would just like to get a steady 60 FPS on all my games. I mainly only play RPGs and the Dark Souls games.

It should be a pretty huge upgrade, more than double the performance of your 3060 TI. What are the rest of the specifications for your system though? As for the resale value on your 3060 TI, it varies locally depending on your region, otherwise you could check on ebay, but you will lose around 20% to fees and shipping. Thats roughly where local prices end up anyway, but a check on your local craigslist, offerup, facebook market place, or letgo, should you know roughly what your local market looks like.

Below is the RX 9060 XT review with a bunch of other GPU's in there for comparison.

Looks like theyre roughly around $250 on ebay, so locally they should be around $180 - 220.

I'm going to upgrade the power supply as well, because I don't think mine will be good enough. I might upgrade the RAM, but I haven't decided yet.

You don't necessarily have to upgrade your RAM immediately, but 4800 is a slow speed, and you're leaving maybe 3 - 5% performance on the table, you want a kit thats 6000+ if possible. Also, you shouldn't need to upgrade the power supply, thats a decent unit, and it would be enough power for an RX 9070 XT and the rest of your system.

But I don't think this power supply is ATX 3.1, and I was told that is needed for these GPUs.

Edit: I have the 2021 version.
It is not, I've got an even older power supply running my wifes RX 9070 XT, an EVGA Supernova G2 I purchased new in 2017, its runs it just fine. That said, if the RX 9070 XT you're purchasing requires a 12V hwpwr connector, you will need to get the appropriate cable from Corsair, but you still shouldn't have to change out the whole unit for it.
