[SOLVED] selling or not selling of a 1 tera internal hard drive with 12 health and 553 bad sectors.

i have an internal 1 tera seagate hard with 12 health and 553 bad sectors. i want to sell it to somebody. Does it be usable for along time for him?
i have no problem with this hard drive.

Run the SeaTools utility to test that drive. 553 bad sectors is already bad news. Personally, I wouldn't buy it. But as to whether or not this drive is classified as "bad", you'll need to run a diagnostic on it.

The drive will die very soon. SeaTools will most likely award it a passing grade and not warn you about the bad sectors.

If your customer is prepared to accept it on that basis, then your conscience will be clear. Otherwise, sell the PCB on eBay.
