Hello everyone, im having nothing but problems for a long time with my pc and I can't crack it. I recieved a new 6600k, z170 gaming 3, and a evga g2 750watt today that are all brand new in hopes that I would solve my pc problems. I installed everything today and it booted up great and used it for about 2 hours until it shut off and the power button became unresponsive. The memory is new as well and worked previously too. i took it all out of the case and have it on a breadboard and shorting the power switch pins is doing nothing but make the g2 750 watt click once. I currently only have the memory module, cpu and motherboard hooked up and nothing else. Is it a huge possibility I need to RMA it after it worked fine for a couple hours? Im lost on what the issue could be. Thank you for your time. I have also went through the troubleshooting steps for a PC that wont boot and nothing works. CMOS has been cleared as well. Any help is appreciated.

You may want to start at the beginning. You got new parts, why? Was the old system not working? Need full specs, what was the original system, and what exactly was it doing? This happened out of no-where or after you changed something? Was anything overclocked?

Are you sure you have everything installed properly in the case? Nothing shorting out, all stand-offs in place on the motherboard to the case?
