Hey guys
so i need a mobile pc for photoshop and stuff like that next year so i want to thro a mini itx pc together.
now im aware that the AM1 socket cpu's arent exactly power houses but what i wanted to know was would the 3850 be stronger than a q6600 or would it be worth the extra cash trying to find an lga 775 mini itx for my q6600 (am1 mini itx's are cheap af in comparison)
Thoughts?

Solution
Q6600 is a lot stronger than a 3850.

That 5450 spentshells linked will be a lot closer performance wise

Good luck finding a 775 socket mitx board though if you decide to go that route , rarer than rocking horse ****.

Yeah, im thinking about getting a A6-5400k since its $41 AUD and therefore cheaper then A. an lga 775 mini itx and B. its cheaper than a AM1 cpu + FM1 has alot more upgradability and from what I've read am1 CPU's are pretty much tablet cpu's so yeah.

I was just fine with the performance of my q6600 overclocked to 3.8Ghz.... until I got my current cpu.
