For $80 the best if you can find one Phenom II. FX overall best but for AM3+.

Yep and that is an AM3 CPU.

so if you have an am3 mobo, then that rules out all FX processors as they are all am3+

if you can find one, the phenom II x4 945 would be the best cpu for around 80.00 although the phenom II x4 965 BE would be a fair bit better for about 15.00 more.
