Sending emails from Verizon account

I have an outlook account and a Verizon acct. I can receive mail from both but can't send mail from my Verizon account. There are no attachments on the emails. They just sit in the outbox. Help!

Didn't verizon just switch you over to yahoo a few weeks ago? (or something like that?)
