So I upgraded from Windows 7, and everything went fine, or so I thought.

I've just found that the microphone on my Sennheiser G4ME PC 323D isn't working: My computer's also complaining about "USB controller resources exceeded" regularly with it plugged in.

This never happened in Windows 7, and I tried checking out updated drivers: It looks like there's an 8.1 driver available (which is probably related to my problem), but it won't install in 10.

Any suggestions?

Interesting news: My motherboard (ASRock Z97 Extreme6) died, and I ended up buying an Asus Maximus VII Ranger as a replacement.

So with the new motherboard installed, I booted up, Windows 10 re-ran through the device setup, and I find that the issue is gone. I guess that there may have been an issue with the USB controller specifically on ther previous board.
