Sennheiser Game One Headset + asus Z170-a onboard sound?

Currently i'm using a hyperx cloud 2 headset, it's great however the microphone is sadly starting to die. I'm considering going for the much pricier Sennheiser game one headset, (around £150,) or the hyperx revolver. So my main question is will the sennheiser game one audio be good using the asus z170-a onboard sound or will i also need to invest into a soundcard or dac as this will probably affect my final decision. You technically don't need a sound card but it does improve sound somewhat but by no means its a "must buy".

Both are great headsets. But to answer your question you will be fine with on board sound Realtek ALC892, if your motherboard had
ALC1150 codec it would have been improvement over ALC892 codec, and if you were to get pci standalone brand name sound card, it would have been likely better then ALC892/1150 and hyper cloud usb card.
