Sennheiser HD 429 vs Audio Technica M20X

If your only looking to buy one of these 2 headphones id recommend going with the HD 429's. They should provide a slightly cleaner sound overall and if your into more bass heavy music they should edge up the M20X's there aswell.
But if your not dead set on getting one of these i would recommend the Superlux HD668B. They are semi open meaning there will be more sound leakage then a regular pair of closed back headphones, but they will also give you much better positional audio in games. They will also help with making none competitive games sound a little more immersive.

Actually HD 429 cost like 40 bucks and the one u suggested is is like 100$ in my country ... but i am getting Skull candy hash 2 wired for 35 ... should i stick to 429 for sound quality is that worthy enaf to ignore the advantages of having a replaceable wire .

I only recommended the HD668B's because for the money they are a really great pair of headphones and they are head and shoulders above most other things in your price point and even a decent amount above it in terms of soundstage. But if you really cant afford to pay that little bit extra then i would suggest you pick the sound quality over the benefit of a replaceable cable, of course unless you are prone to throwing your headphones, tangling the cord and running it over in your chair. Im not to familiar with the plug on the skull candy headphones but there are cable out there that come with a mic on them so if you need a mic as well and the skull candys support a cable with a built on mic, that may be worth going with over the 429's. Its really up to you and what you want out of your headphones.
for reference, a good place to compare headphones is http://www.headphone.com/pages/build-a-graph . There are a lot of headphones that arent on this website but they stiff cover a wide range of headphones so depending on your preferences you can pick a pair of headphones for your exact needs.

i will have to bother u again hope you are not feeling disturbed i really have like zero knowledge about headphones . As new new offer came in i am getting JBL j88i for same price as HD429 :/ .. this is confusing me xD

from what ive read briefly about these headphones are they are very bass heavy and lose clarity in the mids and treble. If you are into a lot of bass these would be a good option. at the end of the day, as i said early its what you are looking for in a pair of headphones. Typically the best thing you can look for in headphones is a slightly amplified bass, nice smooth mids and early treble and then a slight dip into the mid and late treble so the high pitched sounds dont hurt your ears and cause ringing. of course getting headphones like this cost an arm and a leg so they are very rare to come by. So if your happy with the J88i's then by all means pick them up, they are pretty much a steal atm on amazing. all down to you and your person preference

so j88i's are bass heavy and tends to lack clarity but better build and HD 429 have more clarity and controlled bass better quality sound output ?

I am just a little concerned about recommending you pick up a pair of headphones by a smaller company especially with how discounted they are atm. The old saying "you get what you pay for" is very true most of the time when dealing with headphones. So the price drop rings more alarm bells then anything else. reviews are very mixed with a lot of people reporting that they break very easily. Which may explain the price drop. I cant really comment on the quality as theres no real way to test it apart from listening to both of them.

These reviews here are what i found alarming. Read through yourself and see if you think its worth it. The reviews for the HD 429's seem to be mostly good, and if it is a concern they are also half the weight as the J88i'sm which should make them a lot more comfortable

well i am thinking about HD 429 as this one come with a 2 year warranty too all i am worried about is that wire tho .. and one more thing will this be a better option for my gaming as i play cs go most of the time ! Or should i just for a gaming headset ... i got a external mic so that's not a problem .

gaming headsets for the most part are rubbish. If the HD 429 come with a 2 year warranty then the wire breaking shouldnt be an issue, because idealy after 2 years you should be ready to buy a better pair if they end up breaking. If gaming is your main focus, again im going to recommend getting the superlux HD668B. Even if you get them used, they are going to be way better for gaming. Often with headphones buying them used is actually better because the drivers in headphones take time to burn in, so they reach their full potential. So buying used eliminates that problem. If you buy them used on amazon they are roughly the same price as the HD 429 as well. The HD668B has a detachable cable as well so theres that concern out of the way

In my country the one u suggest is way to much costly it costs around 6500 RS. which is like 100$ .. its lower variant 661 is way cheaper but it costs like 60-70$ here . As i dun really have that much of budget plus i am not entirely sure about there warranty support as this are imported here .

yes .. and thank you for helping me out :) i learned so much about headphones today xD

using it good clear sound .. build quality is a draw back and wire .. and Not much of bass ! and i was crying for low volume until i used it with a amp god damn .

Not that of a mind blowing product but decent for money i guess ..I will just keep it .. but i will have to buy a decent sound card or amp .. ! Thank you for helping bro !
