Hey guys,

I'm in need of some advice. My Logitech g930 is broken and I'm in search of another headset. But I think I would like to go for some thing with way better sound quality. After looking at the Sennheiser Momentums I might go with those since it has a inline mic and the sound quality is amazing apparently. After reading it looks like I might be in need of a soundcard to make this worth while. Was just wondering if anyone had any sugguestions on maybe a different pair of headphones with a mic that would be better or what type of sound card I need, how much I need to spend etc etc. Cheers

these headphones are not heavy, and they are actually really comfortable. I can where them hours on end, and even tho the are overear headphones, they don't get too hot.
these are the best sounding headphones for under 200 USD, and they are exactly 200 CAD, so they are a great deal, for how they sound.
they have a flat sounding mids and highs, with a raised base, which gives a really nice sound for all kinds of music. If you like HipHop and rap, they will work well. If you like...

generally no, but it can slightly depend on your motherboard audio setup. what is your motherboard, and if you know, what is the audio system on your motherboard?

you better off getting a normal pair of 30 something ohm headphones, and add a clip mic.
I'm using the Audio Technica ATH-M50x headphones as we speak, and they are AMAZING. add to them a cheap mic, and it is perfect.

Nice, Ive noticed this headset is really heavy, compared so say something like what I have the g930 or the sennheiser momentum. In your personally experience, hows the weight feel and how is that sound quality on these for music and for gaming as well?

If you like EDM (which is what I mostly hear) they will work well. If you like pop music, they will work well. heck, even if you like classical music, they will work well.

I play mostly FPS's, and you can really hear the gunshots and explosions like they were meant to be heard.

these are 32 ohm headphones, so no.

watch these videos just so you know I'm not trolling you:

(the ATH m50's are the older version of the headphones, the differences are that the m50x's have a detachable cable and slightly softer ear pads)

I got the black one because it doesn't get dirty quickly, but if you live in a hot area (which you live in canada, so you're probably not), get the white one. I don't recommend getting the blue/brown or the dark brown/green colors unless you really like em. I think its just a waist of money.
also, the mic will blend better with the black one.
