Where this app will run on - desktop/laptop, tablet/phone, or something else (like Raspberry Pi, Arduino, etc)? From there, you select what kind of "Sensor Panel" you want - LCD with touch, or LCD with keypad (think ATM), or just calculator-type screen. And depending on what you want this app to do - there may be "ready-made" one, or you have to roll your sleeves, and write it in Python/C/C++/etc
