I'm looking for a bay accessory that primarily for telling the temperature and looking aesthetically pleasing. I use a Chaser Mk-1 case with lots of blue lighting, so I'd prefer a device with to complement that design. Fan controlling is alright but not the highest of priorities as I'm more than likely going to place things on their automatic settings. I will be using at least four blue led 200m fans.
Form current research, I am interested in both Sentry LX and the newly released Sentry 3 both sporting a nice sleek blue and black display.
The LX boasts a large 2 bay display, many fan and temp prob connectors, and tells time and date for when my toolbar is hidden in the middle of a game.
The 3rd edition however has higher wattage per channel, shortage protection, and the ability to link different fans. The 3 however provides none of the points that I like the LX for(only one temp probe though) and uses the dreaded touch controls I'm not too fond of. Not to mention its still a relatively new product with little review coverage.
I'd appreciate hearing from those more knowledgeable in these products or recommending their own personal display for the job.
