Seperate Sounds from Computer

So my newly built computer has split sounds, some such as music, and beeps emitting from my monitor (when I plug my headphones into my computer box to play a game), and then all the other sounds emitting only from my computer box.

When I take out my earbuds from then computer box, and set the default sound back to the monitor, all sound comes out of it again.

This is a very strange thing, I have never seen anything like it before.

Start menu > Volume mixer > hit enter key > click on speaker icon that appears in volume mixer > disable the sound devices that aren't your default
