This is somewhat of a theoretical question. Would it be possible to have a display that has a graphics card imbeded then with wifi or some other wireless tech attach this screen to a computer and use it like a regular monitor or would the graphics card have to be physically connected to the computer. I know the tech to do this doesn't actually exist im just wondering.

Solution
no its all in the monitor part no hooking it to anything its ''all in one ''' likda like a laptop but desktop

only thing close to a gpu in a monitor would be nvidias g-stinks I mean g sync that part has a NVidia chip built in to the monitor to support that feature and why to use g -sync you have to have a monitor to support it [why is not on the card is beyond me AMD's free sync is in the card and driver]

Well.. not quite that I know of. Although there was a wireless graphics card (but still attached to the mb) that connects wirelessly to a display. Review here: http://www.guru3d.com/articles-pages/wireless-graphics-card-kfa2-gtx-460-wdhi-review,1.html

Junkeymonkey ok so... theres this lenovo wireless touchscreen monitor it connects to a computer through wifi adhoc. So what im wandering is if it would be possible to say attach a Nvidia chip to a monitor and connect said monitor and graphics card to the computer over wifi and basically use it the same way you would a graphics card on a normal pc
