It's been happening for the past three days now that my ping has been spiking every 10-15 seconds. For example when pinging google it usually took from anywhere between 8ms - 15ms for a response, when the ping spikes hit this would increase to 400ms and upwards. I've tried it on my laptop too and received the same results.

I only really noticed when I launched Mount and Blade Warband on Tuesday which has a ping tracker and saw my ping jumping, I had played Warband on the Sunday without issue so it has to have been something recent. Any and all help would be appreciated!

I had a similar problem but the ping would spike once per minute. IIRC it was an issue with the network card driver, so if possible try with a USB network card and if that works try and reinstall the (latest) drivers for your network card.
Saw now that you have the same problem from the laptop and that points towards the router being defect. Can you try another?

Thanks for the quick response, unfortunately I don't have a spare router lying around. I probably should have clarified that these spikes happen regardless even if only I am using the network.

Tried changing the channel I'm on to see if it was any of my neighbours interfering. Problem was still persistent. The router I'm using is a Cisco EPC3925 if that helps at all..
