I am using a SBS CT7 (AMI BIOS) computer and setting COM!
to Auto and Com2 to 2F8. Windows2000 Server will something
come up with 2 COM1's or 2 COM2's. Also the BIOS gets
changed to 3F8 for COM1. Have tried setting the BIOS to
3F8 and 2F8, but the same error occurs (2 com1's or 2
com2's).

Can Windows2000 Server be forced to have COM1 and COM2?

This is really a pain.

Thanks

Check your settings in cmos setup and or check for a system bios update.
