Question Series of numbers and letters imprinted in screen

I just bought a new Hajaan monitor and PC, both of which are working. However, the monitor has "2B10112" ingrained in both the top right and bottom left corners of the screen. I tried reinstalling the driver, but it seems to be an issue with the monitor itself, not the PC (Dell Optiplex). Any idea how to get rid of this?

Which monitor do you have from their portfolio?

Does the same happen when you hook the panel up to another display source? Try with another display cable.

Thanks for the reply! The model of the monitor is S2723i I believe. I tried hooking up the monitor to my laptop as well as using a different cable, but the numbers are there all the same. In fact, I can even notice the numbers on the monitor when the screen is turned off.

I'd be RMA'ing that thing immediately. There is no reason for that marking to be on the monitor for whatever reason. I thought initially that it might be screen burn. Was the monitor purchased as a new item?

It's possible it could be fixed with a firmware update.

It's also possible that the text may be switched off in the Monitors menu. Check that first.

Ah ok. My monitor menu does not have a text option, but thanks for the suggestion. The monitor was part of an All-in-one PC I ordered refurbished from Best Buy. I suppose I will just have to return it.

Ah, yes, refurbed. My one experience of it was good. A Dell Latitude 7280. It's now my plex server

On occasion though they can be problematic. I'd look at returning it asap.

Yes, I will be doing that right now. Too bad it's all in one, because the PC works great- just the monitor giving me issues.

Do note that all-in-ones are basically disposable PCs, so frequently not the most cost-effective choices since they combine all the downsides of laptops with almost none of the benefits.
