Lovely.

Considering how many people i've seen complaining that since issue4
they're getting a lot more pauses and disconnects and outright crashes,
i'm betting there's going to be people who get killed due to an LCTM or
crash, and of course, if they were in a mission - they'll be auto-zoned
out of it and lose their character.

I wonder how many people got screwed by this?

You've never run like hell for the elevator and then gotten zapped right
by the door?
You can still click on it, go to the other floor, revive yourself, rest
up, go back to original floor.

Elevator and/or the mission door, or a click zone boundary (hazards).

Can you operate a door/train when you are defeated?? (I honestly don't
know, I haven't been in that situation)

What about if you are taking a DoT, and die in-between the time that you
click the door and it (the door) activates.

Done that one myself.

At the end of the Hess TF when you have a limited time to exit I managed
to exit a second too late and died on the exit side of the door rather
than on the inside.

Clicking on the exit mission button I assume.

....until they get it fixed.

It's only a temporary problem, it's not a loss of character since Cuppa's
said that even the ingame GMs have tools to fix it now.

I experienced this character death because I didn't go to the hospital
before logging off after I was defeated in a mission. And this incident
makes me really wonder how they test the game. I mean, it can't slip
through the cracks if you play the game, can it? Or do they only play
über builds which never die?

From the scrapper builds they posted for testing they don't play uber
builds :)

But, tbh, I'd never ever consider quitting out when dead without going to
the hospital. I just about always end a session by rounding things off -
sell enhs, perhaps head to near the next mission I'm planning for next
time, or just go hang by a tram stop. I suspect they do the same.

That way, you'd never notice this...

Considering they do their internal testing with a direct connection to
the server that is, thus, not subject to disconnects, I'd say it's
fairly easy to slip through. People don't often zone while dead. And,
honestly, disconnects while dead are relatively rare, too.

Or how about a failed respec where you're chucked out dead?
Or the war walls badge mission which also chucks you out if it fails.
Or you die because of a disconnect, which also heaves you out of the
mission when you reconnect.

I got one of those last night - a huge pause that never recovered and
eventually disconnected me completely - thankfully I wasn't in combat at
that moment or i'd have almost certainly been hit by this bug.

No, they always have a defender with rez power. Well, why not? Surely
they play the game the way it was meant to be played, with plenty of
defenders. ^_^
