That's one thing I haven't done after reinstalling Windows. I am thinking just my WIFI adapter, RAM and Motherboard drivers?
Edit: I cannot find the motherboard drivers. Here is the page they should be on >> http://www.asus.com/uk/Motherboards/Z97K/HelpDesk_Download/
Edit 2: I have just gotten the WIFI adapter's drivers and it did not fix the issue. This is all I can find. The WIFI adapter link >> http://www.asus.com/Networking/USBN53/

Assuming you did not do a fresh install,
Perhaps you would not have had any problems if you reformatted the boot drive, then installed Win8.1 fresh
The vital required drivers can be automatically installed through UEFI with its ability to access wifi/wired internet - every time i have built a new pc, the UEFI recognised the external usb wifi adapter and got me connected promptly
