[SOLVED] server 2016 repeatedly losing internet connection

HI everyone, looking for some help with my server. My server 2016 keeps losing its internet connection. I have a static IP set on it. It is losing its connection after about an hour. If I change the static IP it reconnects but loses its connection again after about an hour. If I use DHCP it connects again but eventually loses its connection again. I have flushed the DNS. I can ping the router when the connection goes down.
I have the server at home and want to use it as a file server. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated

Make and model router (or modem/router if combo)?

The router's logs (if available and enabled) may be helpful.

Who has full admin rights to the router? You will need help from that person.

On your server are you able to run and post the results of "ipconfig /all" (without quotes) via the Command Prompt?

Huawei HG658c, its 7 years old now, adsl modem/router/WAP from vodafone.
I have admin rights to the router, the logs are available. Can you tell me what exactly I should look for in the logs? Yes i can run ipconfig /all.

I would try that first. I just had to reboot one of mine that wasn't acting right after about 6 months of uptime. Reboots aren't a bad thing.
