Server Build Question

I'm looking to build my first server.
Should I purchase a Bare bone's server? or Should I purchase all the parts individually.

Are you able to use a server as a PC for web browsing & gaming as well?

I do plan on maybe purchasing either LGA 1366 or LGA 1150 as the CPU socket.
I def want to do a 2x CPU's & 4x HDD in RAID.
Will have to be hooked up to 2x 1080P monitors as well.
I will be buying a few switches and rackmount cages.

Please feel free to list me some tips and tricks etc.

LGA1366 would be a very old CPU architecture FYI.

Having a purpose in mind would certainly help.

LGA 2011 v3 and X99 chipsets if you are building today.

Dual processors? That will rule out LGA1150. Or do you just need lots of CPU cores? Can get a single processor with 18 cores. Dual processing boards come at quite the premium (but then again so do 18 core processors)

Mainly to have some fun, experimenting. I would like to have at least a quad core with hyperthreading (8Core)

I don't mind if its overkill either. I need it also to able to be used on 2x 1080P monitors without any lag of sort.
