Question Server connection?

Hello all,

Not sure if this is the correct area but, I just recently moved to a new city. I have a server in house that I would connect to by just entering it's IP address. Now at the new location when I enter in the current IP address for the server I get

This site can’t be reached​

"the current IP address" refused to connect.

The server is running Microsoft SQL Server 2017

Any ideas?

how exactly is the server setup on the network?

Whose server is it?

What is the connection path?

You need to be granted access by the server's admin person.

Did you move your entire network to the new address, including the server? If so, it is likely that your internal IP addresses have changed. Is your server using an internal fixed IP, or DHCP?
