[Mod edit - moving post from Networking to PC Gaming.]
Hello everyone, I'm going to explain my experience. I have created a game server with Windows Server 2016 and a 1TB Scsi Nvem disk, which would be the "Z:\" volume, where the games are installed and is shared with the other clients.
I configured Volume "Z" as read-only, for uninstallation protection and so that there are no data writing problems. Only one machine with the "Z" read/write volume updates the games (while the others are turned off).
The problem I have is that some games like LOL CODMW3 need to write (garbage data), and they give me errors.
I read somewhere that there is a method called Write Back Cache (WBC) or something similar, it is another Volume that could receive the writes directed to Volume "Z", but there is not much information about it.
Does anyone know anything about this or have another idea to implement?
Thank you very much for your time
