Server Hard Drives

I'm looking to add some storage to my home server. I'm running windows server 2008 R2 on a home built server here are the specs:

AMD Sempron 140 2.7GHZ
ECS M7 880GM
Patriot 4gb (1x4) DDR3 1333
Corsair 430w PSU
160GB Seagate HDD
Asus DVD

I use this server to store files, photos and my music. I used parts I had on hand after upgrading friends and family computers. I would like to stick with seagate as all my other hard drives are that brand. I've been looking at two different drives and I guess my question being from a server point of view will i notice the difference between 5900rpm and 7200rpm drives? This is what i'm looking at so far:

Performance vs. Capacity?

This is my first server so learning as i go and time permits. Would like to buy 2 drives so i have a drive to backup onto.

The 7200rpm is a little faster, which is not generally a big deal for small storage rigs, but what you will notice is that there is usually a slight delay starting the file transfer with green drives as they take some time to spin up. Once the transfer starts though they will perform similarly. If you ever plan to RAID the drives don't go green, they don't play well in RAID configurations.

Thanks for the information on green drives and raid configurations. I was leaning towards the 7200rpm drives and that little bit of info helped finalize my decision.
