Hello all,

Server board: Intel D13607-902 S5000PALR
CPU: 2 x Xeon E5450 Quad Core at 3.00GHz
RAM: 8 x 4GB PC2-5300F FB-DIMM
PSU: 750W DPS-750EB A
Chassis: SR2500ALBRPR 2U
Drives: None connected

Things I have tried:

- Removing both CPU's -> Gives a beeping error 1-5-2-1 (error with CPU slot 1)
- Removing second CPU
- Only putting RAM in one slot and different slots with different RAM's
- Removing CMOS battery --> Chassis fans start spinning and stop after couple of seconds
- Clearing CMOS through pins
- Using different power outlet

Any optional solutions would be helpful.

The PSU, case and motherboard were purchased separately, but none of the cables have any other spot that fit, so it would be impossible to have connected them the wrong way.

But you don't know if anything is missing. Fans, or other parts. Do you have the manual for the chassis and the motherboard ?

All the fans seem to be there. The only thing that I would see that would be missing is the heat sink for the CPU's, but I don't think that would give any problems to post.
As for the manuals, both of the manuals can be found online.

That's a pretty old LGA771 board. That specific version lists support for 45nm Xeons but maybe it needs an older 65nm CPU to boot up and load a newer BIOS.
This is not uncommon with X58 systems that support Nehalem 5500 Xeons to get a Westmere 5600 series running.

Did you get appropriate heat sink(s) for the CPUs? If there is no fan signal from the CPU fans it might not post...
